Temple of Heaven

To All – Nee How ( hello)
All is well, the weather is mild, the sun never shines and it rains for
a short time everyday.

The city is busy with 16 million, very modern to say the least, from the
subway, to the buildings and the venues.

The food is interesting, but the Western stand buys like Mc Donalds,
Outback, Dairy Queen, KFC and Subway are not far away.

I am at the Village and the warehouse is ramping up.  This week we have
a soft opening for BOCOG ( Beijing Olympic Council).

Seeing the sights on our days off and I can tell you the city is great.

Please enjoy the photos of the Olympic Village and The Temple of Heaven.

Chinese Restaurants

July 1, 2008 by chefrob
Chinese restaurants are quite different that those in the US.

Outside kebob grills will grill your selection to order.  I have had the opportunity to dine at a traditional Peking duck restaurant where they carve the duck tableside, at a dim sum restaurant where they offer table side cookery, at a hot pot place a Korean BBQ place as well as a noodle restaurant where they perform a noodle pulling show for you.
This structure is the Olympic torch that will be lite on the night of 8/8/08 at 8 PM  Beijing time
